Submitting a Requisition

Requisitions entered (created) by the user are submitted using the Requisitions option.

Note:  After submitting a requisition, notification emails for approval will be sent to the appropriate users (as based on the approval tree assigned to the requisition) if designated to do so in the Email Manager option. If there were notification emails that did not go through, an error will be tracked in the Activity Log option (on the System Log tab) and an alert will appear on the main School Accounting System screen. If an email is rejected, the rejection notice will be sent to the appropriate address for the designated email address in the Email Manager option.


How to submit a requisition immediately after entering:

  1. With the requisition to submit displayed on the entry screen, click the Submit button.


How to submit a saved requisition:

  1. Select the Requisitions menu (or select the Requisitions menu and then Requisitions).

  2. On the Requisitions screen, select the Requisitions tab if not already selected.

    Note:  The Requisitions tab is only available if the user has rights to enter requisitions (within the User Security option).

  3. The requisitions previously entered by the user in the last six months display showing the applicable status (Unsubmitted, Pending, Approved, Rejected, or Cancelled). If desired, change the filters to modify the requisitions listed on the screen.

  4. Click the More (…) button to the right of the requisition to submit and select View/Edit, or double-click on the requisition.

  5. Once the requisition displays, click the Submit button.

Note:  To submit a saved requisition without viewing it first, select the desired requisition on the Requisitions screen and then click the Submit button at the top of screen.


How to submit multiple saved requisitions:

  1. Select the Requisitions menu (or select the Requisitions menu and then Requisitions).

  2. On the Requisitions screen, select the Requisitions tab if not already selected.

    Note:  The Requisitions tab is only available if the user has rights to enter requisitions (within the User Security option).

  3. The requisitions previously entered by the user in the last six months display showing the applicable status (Unsubmitted, Pending, Approved, Rejected, or Cancelled). If desired, change the filters to modify the requisitions listed on the screen.  

  4. Select the desired requisitions and then click the Submit button at the top of screen.


How to submit requisitions entered by other users:

  1. If needed, the Business Office can use the Submit Requisitions on Behalf of Users option in Accounts Payable to submit requisitions entered by others.
