Viewing a Leave Request and Checking Leave Request Status

Leave requests can be viewed and the status checked using the Leave Requests option. Leave requests can be viewed by the user who entered the request and by the employee for whom the leave request was made.

How to view a leave request and check status:

  1. Select the Leave Requests menu (or select the Leave Requests menu and then Inquiry).

  2. On the Leave Requests screen, select the Inquiry tab if not already selected.

    Note:  The Inquiry tab is only available if the user has rights to enter leave requests (within the User Security option).

  3. The leave requests previously entered by the user in the last six months display showing the applicable status (Unsubmitted, Pending, Approved, Recalled, Rejected, or Cancelled). If desired, change the filters to modify the leave requests listed on the screen. The leave requests included in the list (may have to change filters) also display in the calendar at the bottom of the screen (for the number of past years designated in the Leave Request Options and forward).

    Tip: The approved leave requests show on the calendar in green, pending in orange, unsubmitted in gray, and recalled or rejected in red, while cancelled leave requests do not display on the calendar. The events added within the Manage Calendar option display using their designated colors.

  4. To view the details for a leave request or status of approvers, click the View/Edit link to the right of a leave request in the list, or double-click on the leave request (or click once on the leave request on the calendar).

  5. The Approval Status section shows the list of approvers as based on the applicable approval path, and if the leave request has been processed by an approver, a date and time displays under the approver’s name.

    Tip:  The color for the approver sequence numbers will be green if approved, red if rejected, or orange if pending.

    Note: If desired, to view more details regarding the approval statuses in addition to the comments for the leave request, select Comments & Activity Log in the Viewing field.

  6. After viewing the leave request, click the X to close.
