Cancelling or Deleting a Rejected Requisition

Prev Next

Rejected requisitions can be cancelled or deleted by the user who entered (created) them using the Requisitions option.  Cancelling a rejected requisition releases the amount from the Unapproved Requisitions total for the applicable account numbers, and keeps the history of the requisition in the system as an audit trail for its entry, rejection, and cancellation. Deleting a rejected requisition releases the amount from the Unapproved Requisitions total for the applicable account numbers, and completely removes (deletes) the requisition from the system (will not be any history of the requisition being entered and rejected).

Tip:  If needed, rejected requisitions can also be cancelled by the Business Office from within the Cancel Outstanding/Rejected Requisitions option in Accounts Payable.

How to cancel or delete a rejected requisition:

  1. Select the Requisitions menu (or select the Requisitions menu and then Requisitions).

  2. On the Requisitions screen, select the Requisitions tab if not already selected.

Note:  The Requisitions tab is only available if the user has rights to enter requisitions (within the User Security option).

  3. The requisitions previously entered by the user in the last six months display showing the applicable status (Unsubmitted, Pending, Approved, Rejected, or Cancelled). If desired, change the filters to modify the requisitions listed on the screen.

  4. Complete the process to cancel or delete the rejected requisition:

Complete the steps below to cancel:

  • Click the More () button to the right of the requisition and select View/Edit, or double-click on the requisition.

  • Click the Archive/Cancel button.

  • When prompted, select the Archive/Cancel button.

Complete the steps below to delete:

  • Click the More () button to the right of the requisition and select Delete.

  • When prompted, click the Delete button.

Note: To first view a requisition and then delete it, select View/Edit after clicking the More () button, and then click the Delete button once the requisition is displayed (and when prompted, click the Delete button).

Tip:  For organizations with K12Docs, any documents added for the requisition from within the School Accounting System or Web Link are also deleted from K12Docs the next time documents are synced.
