Deleting a Deposit

Deposits created by the user with a status of Deposit Pending can be deleted from within the Cash Receipts option.

Note: If necessary, contact the Business Office to delete a deposit (cash receipts) batch with a status of Deposit Pending Locked from within General Ledger.

Tip:  If a deposit is deleted from within Web Link modern experience, the cash receipts included in the deposit will remain (will not be deleted) and can be added to a different deposit; however, if a deposit (cash receipts) batch is deleted from within General Ledger, the deposit batch and all the cash receipts within the batch will be deleted.

How to delete a deposit:

  1. Select the Cash Receipts menu (or select the Cash Receipts menu and then Deposits).

  2. On the Cash Receipts screen, select the Deposits tab if not already selected.

  3. The deposits previously created by the user in the last six months display showing the applicable status (Deposit Pending, Deposit Pending Locked, or Deposited). If desired, change the filters to modify the deposits listed on the screen.

  4. Click the More () button to the right of the deposit to delete and select Delete.

  5. When prompted, click the Delete button to delete the deposit.

Note: To first view a deposit and then delete it, select View/Edit after clicking the More () button in Step 4 above, and then click the Delete button once the deposit is displayed (and when prompted, click the Delete button).
