A user is able to change his/her password by completing the Change Password option.
How to change a user’s password:
Tip: If passwords are required within the System File to be changed after a certain number of days and the user’s password will expire within 10 days or less, a notification will appear on the dashboard. If applicable, click the notification to change the password and continue with Step 2 below.
Select the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen (the circle with the user’s initials) and then Change Password.
Complete the Change Password screen:
Enter the existing password in the Current Password field.
Enter the new password in the New Password field.
Tip: Reminder, a password is case sensitive, alphanumeric, up to 20 characters long, and not allowed to be blank.
Note: If a password policy is defined in the System File, the additional requirements for the password complexity display on the screen.
Enter the new password a second time in the Confirm New Password field to verify the password was keyed correctly.
Click the Save button.
A message briefly appears at the top of the screen stating the password was updated.
The next time the user logs into Web Link (or the School Accounting System, if applicable), the new password must be entered.
