Deleting a Leave Request After Submitting

Prev Next

Leave requests that have been submitted first need to be recalled or rejected and then can be deleted.

How to delete a leave request after submitting:

  • For leave requests with a status of Approved or Pending:  If an approved leave request has not yet been brought into a batch of Employee Absences or Pay Period Entries (or processed on the FMLA screen in the Employee File, if applicable) or a leave request is pending, the leave request can be recalled by the user who entered the request or by the employee for whom the leave request was made and then deleted. To recall (and then delete) a leave request, complete the steps for recalling a leave request.

  • For leave requests with a status of Rejected: If a leave request has been rejected, the leave request can be deleted or cancelled by the user who entered the request or by the employee for whom the leave request was made. To delete or cancel a rejected leave request, complete the steps to cancel or delete a rejected requisition.

Note:  If the leave request has been approved (and not yet selected and brought into a batch of Employee Absences or Pay Period Entries) or rejected, the leave request can also be cancelled using the Cancel/Remove Unprocessed Leave Requests/Substitutes option in Payroll.
